I didn't bother to read into the details, but the graphics on that thing are terrible. The ones with the worst ranking get the biggest bubbles on the map, when it should be the other way around. Unless they want to rename it "Worst Big Cities to live in".

It must be subjective. Id rather live in Detroit than San Francisco or Virginia Beach. Im aware not everyone shares my opinion.

Oh man you’re not kidding, it’s absolutely horrible. As far as the list goes, I’d take #5 & #6, San Diego and Honolulu, as my top two.

Not only was the map designed terribly, but the methodology is pretty lazy. No correlation or consideration between things like high COL and average pay. Categories like # of Restaurants doesn't speak to quality, diversity or distribution of restaurants.

If this list was even remotely accurate, there would now be a big rush to Virginia Beach as one of the best big cities to live in nation-wide. Having been there 50+ times in my life (not just the beach, but downtown and in neighborhoods), it's not close to the 3rd best city to live in. And it's not even a big city...

WalletHub is notorious for inane rankings.

Yea but bad thing is that a lot of people consider them a reliable source, including news outlets.
