Harvard Square, the geographic city center (look on a map - Harvard Square is right at the knot in bowtie-shaped Cambridge)
I had to look it up, but you’re right! Especially with all the activity going on in East Cambridge, it’s very easy to forget that places like Neighborhood Nine exist.
As i said, I just don't think it's a logical out of box comparison. But I most certainly admire University City and it's growth initiatives, and have no doubt it will soon be a national hub.

But I don't see how it's not a logical comparison. The parallels are pretty obvious, even if Cambridge has a clear edge. Not trying to be flip; just don't understand that kind of comment.

University City would be a neighborhood within Cambridge which is why, as a compromise, I stated that Kendall would be a more apt vs. comparison to University City.
Compare away, find the parallels... Just as long as it's not in a vs. format like the thread intended. In that sense, I don't see them as logical equals.
On a national level, Drexel is not that relevant. Penn and Villanova are, but most people outside of the Philadelphia area don't know much about Drexel or Temple for that matter.

Comparisons are made on the cvc forum with abandoned, whether or not certain individuals find little logic in the comparisons. The similarities and contrasts between two education hubs featuring Ivy League and engineering schools, located across a river from 2 east coast metro’s financial and business centers could certainly merit some investigation.
One thing I’m unsure of is healthcare comparisons. UCity certainly is home to some significant healthcare and hospital institutions. That may be true of Cambridge as well - dunno? It wouldn’t surprise me. I do know that their are some prestigious medical and healthcare institutions across the Charles in Boston.

Actually, the great teaching hospitals and medical centers are all on the Boston side of the Charles, as is Harvard Medical School, which is well away from the rest of the university in the Longwood section of Boston.
Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania :: Massachusetts General Hospital (a private hospital despite its name)
