The OP really missed the boat in his poll.

Indeed, Portland boasts the highest number per capita in the U.S. — one for every 11,286 residents. This handily outranks the nudity-liberal likes of Las Vegas, New Orleans, and San Francisco, and even edges out Tampa, Florida, a city that often claims to be the country's strip club mecca.

Number of strip clubs is pretty irrelevant, since the questions was about "culture." Nobody outside of this board is talking about Portland's strip clubs. Atlanta, Vegas, and Miami are world renowned.

Strip clubs are deeply ingrained into Portland’s culture. Mary’s Club is one of the most famous destinations in the city.

I’m not saying Portland is number 1 necessarily, but it’s pretty hard to argue that it shouldn’t have been a choice on this poll. It’s easily in the top 5.

And Sassy's is a landmark. It's been there forever. Strip clubs are definitely a part of Portland's culture as part of a decades old tradition.

I suggest those who doubt this read the article in the link in my previous post. It was one of many that talked about the part of Portland's long historical "liberal live and let live" culture. That may not be quite so prevalent today but in the case of the strip clubs that example of Portland's old liberal culture is still going strong.

Detroit.

One of the other things 8 Mile Road is notorious for, besides the movie with Marshall Mathers, is the vast selection of adult entertainment establishments along the entire route.

There is nothing appealing about strip clubs in Vegas.
