Which city has the most prominent strip-club culture/most well-known strip clubs? (places, highest)

KOD is the only Miami strip club with national name recognition, and it’s CLOSED.
Wow. Didn’t know that. You can’t tell with the amount of songs still biggin it up. Looks like it just happened in November.
For the purposes of this thread, we can still use it since it was still open as of Nov.
My biggest criticism of Atlanta is that the strip clubs don’t attract racially diverse recognition. For example, my family from all over go on about Magic City, but I’m also black...if I ask lots white people at my job about it?? They have no clue what I’m talking about, which is so odd given the reach of the club in my community.
I don’t know if Miami and Vegas are like that; I feel like Houston is that way because their scene is also solely bolstered by hip-hop.
Sorry, this list feels a bit naked without Tampa on it. Other than Vegas and maybe Portland, there's probably not another major city as tied to the "art" as Cigar City (which some of you may know as a great brewery- the founder is the son of legendary strip club king Joe Redner). It has fewer clubs than Miami, but certainly leads in the establishments per capita number...
Anyway, Tampa always pops up in the top lists, and many (though certainly not all) pride themselves on the claim, as anyone attending a past Super Bowl or Republican Convention in the city can confirm. Several of the most notorious establishments in the country, Mons Venus and 2001- with a big freaking UFO on top- are landmarks, and legends to those that like this type of thing. In fact, a collective experience among all my friends when we were kids was to giggle endlessly at all the "nude, nude, nude" signs when riding around the area, especially driving across the Courtney Campbell Causeway from Tampa to Clearwater. Ah, the good old days...
Houston is very much known for strip clubs but probably mostly connected with hip hop and Latin. V-Live was one of the more popular ones but that shut down. I picked Atlanta for this btw.

What's not accurate? Have you provided solid statistical proof that your top choices belong there? I'm not even claiming that Tampa has the most, or the very best, I'm just saying that it belongs on the list. I'm not turning in a term paper, I'm just talking about the cultural relevance, which doesn't have a specific metric. So sure, a lot of the links are comparing apples to oranges- per capita, total number, etc. But you don't have to do more than skim any of these links to get the fact that Tampa has a name for strip clubs, or that it has some fairly legendary establishments.
I mean, I didn't tell Wyclef to mention Mons Venus in Perfect Gentleman. And I didn't tell Thrillist or Daily Beast or Ask Men, etc. to name two of them among the top clubs in the nation. Anyway, a quick Google search more than proves my point.
LOL, this isn't something that I'd make up to brag about, I'm just telling you that growing up in the Tampa Bay area in the 80's and 90's, strip clubs were the one thing that Tampa was known for around the country. It's where most of the celebrity athlete and mobster sightings were, etc. And other places certainly have more clubs, but I doubt there are that many metros where the ongoing saga of outlandish club owners, their new ventures, and big, provocative attempts at freedom of expression were literally daily headline news.
These days, I have no idea. I don't frequent strip clubs, and don't live anywhere near the area. Laws have changed, I'm sure, so maybe the notoriety has faded into the past (and for the record, Tampa wasn't/isn't known for classy joints, in fact quite the opposite). But the constant stereotype persisted for many years. So again, for its history, culture, and considerable fame of a couple clubs, I'd maintain that Tampa belongs, or at least belonged on the list. And seriously, if you get a chance, read that article that I posted. Great backstory, if nothing else!
