As a previous poster stated population growth isn't the end all be all. To be the fourth largest U.S city Houston lags behind several smaller cities when it comes to name recognition. At least when L.A passed up Chicago in 1980 it had some name recognition. The average American knows little to nothing about Houston. I'm not slighting Houston and actually love the city. Just stating the facts.

Wait, you mean that Lahore, Pakistan isn't a better city than London? Lahore has more people than London, so it's automatically better. Everybody knows population is the only measure that matters.

Chicago continues to increase its stature as a city of Tourism.

Tourist numbers UP 2-MILLION in one year. To nearly 58-million for the city-proper.

https://chicago.curbed.com/2019/1/11...llion-visitors
- McCormick Place, the largest convention center in North America, gives tourism numbers a huge boost.
- it’s estimated that events increased by 31 percent since 2017 with 3 million visitors.
- 60 major new conventions committed
- 57.6 million visitors to the city - a new record
- 150,000 jobs supported
- 7 new hotels, with 7 on the way
- 2-SuperTalls to start construction and others in planning stages.

Could the bigger numbers have to do in part .... with "Condé Nasty" Traveler ranking Chicago as the best big city for the second year in a row.

Can some of the Chicagoans on here tell me if stuffed is true Chicago Pizza? Or is Gino’s and Lou’s and Piqoud’s just better deep dish? There is a good stuffed pizza place in Austin called Mangia’s and I have been searching for the same here in Houston to NO avail. If there was a good stuffed pizza place here would the number of Chicagoans here make it successful? Just wondering…TIA for your replies!
Good luck, dude. It was hard to find good "Chicago" pizza in IL at times, even outside of Chicagoland/suburbia.
