Minus Atlanta metropolitan area? Then S.C. by a long shot. Georgia’s other MSAs just can’t compare to Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach. They are all way larger and offer more and Charlottes growth is extended into York County, which is the second largest in the Charlotte region.

I assume you mean without Metro Atlanta and that would eliminate 60% of GA. South Carolina would be a better state in that instance but in reality almost every metric points to South Carolina and Alabama being identical states.

Huh? Spartanburg is basically a suburb of Greenville and Myrtle Beach MSA is 465,000. Your obviously not familiar with Georgia outside Atlanta.

Georgia 10.4 million - Atlanta 5.8 = 4.6 million

South Carolina 5 million
Georgia 4.6 million

It seems strange to do a state vs state comparison because you'll only be living in one city in a state.

Spartanburg's not a burb of Greenville. It is one of the largest metros in the state.

Myrtle Beach MSA is larger than Savannahís and faster growing. Thanks for proving my point. Spartanburg is itís own MSA.
