Don't be so quick to judge! Off in 7 minutes, adios
So you're basically bragging about a $50-$60k job over the internet, in the state with the highest taxes and highest cost of living? Wow, I'm so impressed.

What other questions do you want to know about me? Oh, that I just completed my MBA, 100% paid for by my organization? ...and that I'm due for a fat raise? Man, I'm bragging as much as a Texan.

Sorry for being so smug right now, but I have pride in defending myself when other's judge before knowing, especially a rude texan who lives in sprawlville yet thinks he lives in urbania. So there you have it!
Lol are you kidding right now dude? This is 100% completely unverifiable information...literally an equal chance that you are telling the truth or making it all up, therefore it's not compelling at all and doesn't really add anything to the conversation. Stop wasting your breath

you're right. i don't know any of you so who cares whether it's true or not, right? but thank you for the complement anyway even if it's unverifiable to you. i don't feel like anything i said about myself is highly regarded by san diego standards, other then the fact that i'm living a comfortable middle class SoCal lifestyle with my fiancé. i can only respond to the person who assumes he/she is talking to a slumdog, and expect them to take my response with a grain of salt he/she is just mad that i feel like texas cities try too hard. get over it. it's a prevailing opinion that i happen to share.

enough about me... my opinion about texas remains the same, its cities try too hard

I wouldn't put Doha and Kuwait City in the same realm. However, it's only a few cities. The others are nothing like that. It is basically only some of the places on the Arabian Gulf in UAE, Qatar, or Kuwait. All the other countries are fine.

Beirut, Istanbul, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Amman, Izmir, Baghdad, Riyadh, Jeddah, Muscat, Sanaa, Aden, Tehran, Ankara, Aleppo, Damascus, etc are not like that.

It's only a few cities in a few countries of the middle east who try too hard. The rest of the middle east is nothing like that.
