Well, I don't really consider colleges over an hour away to be in our "metro", but if you are going to inlude them you forgot Houghton College. It's only about an hour away...
I don't consider them ours either but that one guy defending 315 put colleges not in their metro either. Just defending the better city.
Well, you had the list beat without going that far out. No need to pile on...
And, since I just glanced over it before, I notice the SYR "festival list" includes Ozzfest, the Chase Corporate Challenge, and Parade of Homes. Not to mention festivals from their suburbs. I'm sure ROC could list more if we get to include things like that (and festivals aren't even my thing).

I agree. SUNY Cortland is in no way associated with the Syracuse area. Most people who live in Cortland work or shop in Ithaca, not Syracuse.
Many Syracusans have no sense of geography and want to include half the State in "the Syracuse area".

Yes, the suburbs are part of the Syracuse area. And yes, I said "major events" along with festivals.
Found three more festivals for the Syracuse area:
1) Ukrainian Festival
2) Native Dance and Friendship Festival
3) Skaneateles Festival
For a smaller city I will give it to you... Good amount of festivals. Though a good amount of those are tiny fesitvals and you have events. Though Rochester has a ton more that I did not mention. So still game on.
Your top three Syracuse Festivals are not as large as Rochesters.(Can't count NYSF)
Lilac
Park Ave
Jazz Fest
They are massive.
The Syracuse Jazz Fest attracted around 40,000 people in 2008, about how many attend the Rochester Jazz Fest?
Well, I'm pretty sure Skaneateles IS located in Onondaga County.
Like I said, the main reason I'd never move to Rochester...the people...mostly the young men. The woman aren't that annoying. The young men in the Rochester area annoy me. They remind of the cocky Charlotte, NC natives I knew at college. At least the Dallas natives were funny in their over-the-top pride of everything Dallas.
