No. I don't hate Knoxville.

Let's compare it to Chattanooga which you love because of the new construction.
I don't, but I'm glad you added it. I forgot about Chattanooga, it has rundown, high crime areas too.

From City Data:

Murders/100,000 overall crime rating

Knoxville............9.6.......................... .559

Chattanooga......14.6..........................538

For comparison purposes, though I don't consider these small cities:

Birmingham.......37.............................84 1

Memphis ...........29.9 .........................802

Here's another city you love to hate:

Richmond...........19.5.........................37 0

Funny, I didn't see the crime stats on the Nashville/Davidson site but it's easy to find murders:

Nashville/dav. .....10.7 Which is higher even than Knoxville City. for a better comparison -

Knox County ....... 6
Nashville and Memphis are not small cities.

I'm not sure what to say to you Shakeesha. Is this an emotional thing for you to pick on cities you hate or are you paid to spread disinformation?

Odessa? This aint the 80s and 90s anymore. Killeen, Waco, Beamount, Port Arthur are all more dangerous Texas towns today than Odessa. Killeen had 20 murders last year. While odessa only had 9. A quick news search through google you will also see Killeen has had more shootings and murders so far this year as well.

I'd have to agree. It's too bad, they could be great cities to live in otherwise
