I'm not going to comment on New Orleans, but Seattle? It's often considered a model city. Well-educated, healthy, fairly low crime. As far as Orlando, that just seems to be an odd choice...locals seem to like it but Disneyworld is really what put it on the map. You really don't hear much about the city itself.
Seattle is a great place to party away your 20s and really experience the hipster scene that is all the rage right now, but once you hit 30, there are better places to live. I think Seattle is a nice place but its on the level (in importance, not politics) of Denver, not San Francisco like people make it out to be.
Charlotte is another city thats overrated. Just to clear this up, I personally love Charlotte and would move there again given the opportunity, but I think its importance is greatly exaggerated. It's nowhere near Atlanta yet and thats a fact.
Hey, if it's cold up there, it's cold up there. I know Florida presents that "brah" culture, but whatever.
