I agree Los Angeles is very underated and out numbered seeing that people from New York, Seattle, Chicago, and miami ganged up on LA mostly chicogans thoguh and many of these people most likely created mutipule acounts.

New York City - It deserves it's great rep as one of the worlds greatest cities. Its neither overrated nor underrated
Los Angeles, California - I wouldn't say its overrated. It has a bad rep for being smoggy, superficial, and all sprawly and im pretty sure its not all like that.
Atlanta, Georgia - I think it's suburbs are really nice, but the city itself is charmless (from my experience). However the metro seems really nice. i would say its slightly overrated
Orlando, Florida - I feel the city itself is underrated because i never hear anything about the city itself
Washington, D.C. - Very underrated because people beleive Washington is all government and the only part to DC is the mall, and they are utterly wrong. They think its so bland and boring because they're very ignorant
Miami, Florida - I think Miami gets it's rep from miami beach. Apperantly its not so great, the city itself, but never been there.
Chicago, Illinois - Neither Overrated nor underrated
San Francisco, California - Ditto
Austin, Texas - Never been but it seems very overrated
Las Vegas, Nevada - Its just a place for tourists to have fun - what's not to like about it? The rest of the city is nice apperantly but boring. So im not sure what to call it - but i wouldn't say overrated
Honolulu, Hawaii - Nice place that i feel is underrated

I concur. Those were my choices as well, although I forgot to check D.C.

Any city can be overrated in relation to expectations.
It's obvious that many of the posts here are based
on opinions by perceptions acquired by means other than real
life experiences. Lets be honest even real good cities have
aspects that are either less than desirable to downright
out of the question with regards to living in.
Is San Diego a nice city ? Sure, but honestly not even close to
being worth the money. Hence, overrated.
Chicago/L.A. are really cool cities where one can make a career.
On the other had they are both a major pain in the ass to live in.
So for a laid back family guy they are overrated.
When it's all said and done it's about personal happiness
and to hell with anyones else's "rating" .

What in the world are Orlando and Austin Texas doing on a list with these other cities?

Orlando is a fine place to go for a convention or to take your kids if you want to blow a lot of money fast. Outside of Disney World, what's Orlando got?

Ummm, Austin? If you're not at a Longhorn game, or selling ZZ Top memorabilia or makin' chile, what's Austin got? Couldn't you fit like 36 Austins in LA?

I'll tell you what the most overpriced city is; NYC. People can't even afford to drive themselves out of this hole! They're just stuck there.

Las Vegas was once a nice place to go eat, drink, sin. Now it costs 15 bucks for breakfast. No thanks.

I voted for Chicago because I see that a lot of dorks voted for every city but that one. Stupid poll.

Brilliant. Funniest post I've seen here. Rep to you!

I live in Pittsburgh, and I'm so sick of Wheelingers coming here and talking down on our city and then going back to their ivory towers in Wheeling. Smug bastards!

Edit: I'd bet money that this person lives in the Weirton/Steubenville metroplex. I'd imagine there's a rivalry.
