Half the palms in Arizona aren't sickly, otherwise people wouldn't keep planting them in droves. There are palm trees that are native to non-tropical areas, including the Southeast, parts of Arizona, and inland Southern California. The palm trees that you that are brown or dead are due to improper fertilzation and not a dry cliamte.

Sorry, but palms are for tropical places, where they grow NATURALLY.

And in these photos I can easily think of palm trees and a ski vacation at one time!

Ya I sorta agree, for some reason alot of people recently have gotten this fetish for palm trees in their yard. I suppose they look alright in places like Southern Arizona but they just look downright stupid in a place like Michigan, and yes there are people who believe it or not plant palm trees in their yard there. Of course the residents go to great lengths to make sure they survive. These trees are so ugly!

I have a lot of pictures around Long Beach and LA county but none I took specifically trying to capture a certain amount of palms but I noticed this one picture has at least 3 (I think) different kinds of palms.
This is on 1st or 2nd street in Long Beach..

This one on Appleton has a couple different kinds..(I know the ones are potted haha) and it has some bigger different ones right outside the picture

And here is a freebie of some palms on the beach.

There are palm trees everywhere here in Naples where my parents live. A lot of them have been planted, because they really are only natural like 1/2 mile from the coast line. I think palms are pretty, but wouldn't like to see them everyday, or too many of them like here (on vacation currently).

Yeah same in LA county there are palms on every street basically (no exaggeration)
I love seeing them everyday..I love the vibe and I love the sunsets with the palm trees silhouetted and the way they sway in the wind just everything about Palms are nice,I'm not a fan of the short stalky ones though I'm talking about the big beautiful ones.
