Which one gives off more of a country vibe to you?
Both cities look rather rural in MANY parts.

If you mean which city has more undeveloped land within its city limits, that would obviously be Jacksonville since the city is consolidated with most of Duval County.

Mecklenburg County is almost built out....Duval county is HUGE which is Jacksonville, so of course Jacksonville wins the more rural land portion....

Duval County/Jacksonville - People Per square mile - 1,117/sq mi

Mecklenburg County/Charlotte - People per square mile - 1,650/sq mi //// 2,457.0/sq mile

I wouldn't say Mecklenburg County is almost built out (a ride around I-485 would demonstrate that), but I'd say it's more built up than Duval.

Yes the hell they are, there are parts of Charlotte that look just as country as Rocky Mount, NC. There is farmland and dirt road in the city limit of these cities. There are many neighborhood without sidewalks and roads without streetlights. If that aint country then I dont know what is. Im on my phone right now but tomorrow ill post what im refering to!

Meck County isn't close to being built out. Los Angeles County is built out, Kings/Queens/New York/Bronx and Richmond Counties are built out. Heck, Dade County's almost built out. But Mecklenburg has plenty of room to grow(doesn't mean I'm calling it country, I think having room to grow is a good thing). Having said all that, Jacksonville is huge indeed, and has more undeveloped land than Charlotte, because of it's size. But both cities have a significant amount of undeveloped land, but J'Ville feels less urban than Charlotte.
