Minneapolis, Columbus, Indianapolis or Milwaukee?
Which city do you think is the nicest to live in, in terms of crime, weather, location, people and the downtown?

Louisville is safer, more affordable, and has a much better park system than any of those cities
Murder rate in 2006
Milwaukee 17.7
Indy 17.5
Minneapolis 15.2
Columbus 14.2
Louisville 8.0 <----

I live in Indy, and I enjoy living here. However, if I were going to relocate, I would pick Minneapolis over the other two by a wide margin.

What's the downtown like in Indy and Minneapolis? Is it lively or extremely dull? How are the people? I've only driven through those cities.

Minneapolis
Minnepolis has the best economy, the most vibrant downtown, and overall the most to offer in regards to what a city can offer out of those four.
Colombus is nice, healthy economy and progressive but I think many think of it as being too suburban.
Milwaukee is nice too, doesn't offer as much as Twin Cities, but Chicago is just down the road.
The one major downside to Minneapolis are the winters. On average its about 10-15 degrees colder than other midwestern cities. However summers are really nice.
Also Minneapolis is safer than Milwaukee, maybe more than Indy too.
