This is the first thread I've seen of SD vs. Houston. All of the "xyz" vs. Houston threads are getting older than John McCain.

SD has no diversity, it's boring as hell, conservative, and worse sprawl than Houston.

San Diego has good diversity for a city its size, went overwhelming Obama this election (for the record, the City of Houston went 70-30 Obama), and sprawl is not "worse" than Houston. San Diego's sprawl is normal for a city its size.

I just cannot stand being in such a non-diverse, lily-white place like SD. And the food there blows (other than some great mexican and seafood).

There is a significant amount of Asians in San Diego though. Most of the other nationalities are in the LA area.

Yeah, even the local news media in San Diego pass their biased opinions as news that San Diego is great, it's "America's Finest City" (which is its actual nickname, btw), and everyone would live there if they could afford it. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice city in some ways, but it's not a perfect utopia like many make it out to be.
