also please do not associate the terms/words "open minded, accepting, tolerant, diverse" with liberal cities or liberals b/c it's BS many times. A city where 97% of the electorate votes for John Kerry is hardly "diverse", i.e. Berkeley, Ca.

Though SD as a percentage has more registered democrats than republicans. It def. depends what area of the county you are in as you know.

While I am in the middle for liberal & conservative, I like spending time in cities that tend to be more liberal because I like the feeling of "anything goes" vibe to a certain extent.
