Which I never did. And I would probably agree, but since I've never been to Houston, I refuse to pass judgment.

I find that to truly judge a place, you have to have actually been there.

I never judged Atlanta.

I must say I'm a little shocked you guys don't have H&M?

They just opened our 5th one last week.
They have NONE in Texas. Lots of people are shocked by the fact that they still haven't opened up here yet. I think they just entered the Florida market.

Yep. The Galleria is the about the same size (or larger) than Lenox and Philips put together. I would just count them as one.

That's just bizarre. I'm sure they would be a huge hit there, for sure.

You're right about Florida...Orlando just got two on the same day.

Orlando has two? They need to open up some in Texas. At least one each at Northpark and the Galleria.

here are their locations though: H&M - Store Locator

Yep, Florida Mall and Seminole Towne Center. Turns out they are the only Florida stores?

I honestly can't imagine that you guys should have to wait much longer. Two of the country's largest metro areas, with plenty of $$$$.

When they opened the flagship store at Atlantic Station, people were sleeping on the sidewalk out front to be the first customers. They routinely pass out gift cards to the first people in line at their new stores. And their prices are AMAZING.

H&M

Uhh, Dallas is the obvious answer here. IMO, the Houston Galleria aka "The Thuggeria" doesn't seem upscale, at all. Full of kids and as the nickname suggests, thugs. Nasty.

Johnatl,

I just moved to Texas from Atlanta and the shopping is better in Dallas than Atlanta but I think Atlanta has better shopping options than Houston does currently. However, Houston Galleria does have a larger selection of high profile international boutiques, but this is because until the Streets of Buckhead gets built there isnt room in Atlanta for all those types of stores yet. Atlanta holds its own in the shopping and fashion world but its not up there with Dallas currently.

This would be a better description for Lenox Square then for the Galleria. Either way, it's an over exaggeration.

As far as Dallas IMO, the Galleria did not seem to be all that upscale (I would compare it better to Lenox). Northpark in Dallas and Phipps seem to be a better comparison to the Houston Galleria.

I really want to call it a tie. What gives Dallas he upscale edge IMO, is that more upscale/conservative vibe that Dallas gives in general compared to Houston.
