It may come as a shock to some people,but not many people consider Los Angeles a shopping mecca. Usually it's Miami or Manhattan.

Why should it matter which cities have a greater concentration of retailers that sell over-priced goods?

Well, to be fair, this thread should really be in the Texas forums and not the General U.S.
If it has nothing to do with NYC, LA, SF, or other out of state cities, then it really shouldn't be outside the state forums.
