Even though I put these cities in order, I like and respect all of these cities I listed in my top 10 and think they are all cool:

1. New York City
2. Chicago
3. San Francisco
4. Seattle
5. Washington DC
6.Philadelphia
7. Los Angeles
8. Portland
9.San Diego
10. Boston

Runners up: Houston, Dallas, Austin, Denver, Honolulu.

I decided to put a new list up because it is different from the list I wrote months ago.

Yep, this is exactly how I would rate them- I've been to all of these cities many times and love aspects about each of them. Urban Density, great culture, sports teams, (well, Portland not so much), architecture and topography. These would be the only cities I would live in as well, 'cuz I'm kinda cool and need a cool city too

Good list. I'd put Minneapolis (and St. Paul) among your runners up list though, especially if you're putting Dallas, Denver and Austin on it. I've lived in both Denver and Minneapolis and MPLS definitely has a "cooler" vibe. Dallas is a bit stale and Austin is a little overrated. I haven't spent enough time in either Houston or Honolulu.
