What cities are the best Hip Hop Cities???

Not just speaking of music of today, but also music of the past.

1.New York
2.Los Angeles
3.Houston
4.New Orleans
5.Miami/Tampa
----------------------
6.Atlanta
7.Chicago
8.St. Louis
9.San Francisco
10.?????

New York and Los Angeles have produced the best artistsand songs, but the top 5 is where I feel some of the best music has come from [not in any particular order after New York and LA]

I had a hard time thinking of cities after the first 6.

Definitely not LA. They've been out of it for years now.

Today it's...
1) NYC - Maino, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, etc.
2) Atlanta
3) Houston
4) Miami
5) New Orleans
6) Chicago - the new "Lookin' Boy" song's goofy, but Kanye and Common are good
7) Los Angeles
8) Bay Area
9) Philly
10) ?

Apparently Denver has quite the up and coming hip hop scene.

I'm sorta split on Tupac because that dude's a New Yorker (watered down accent, but still heard) who loved California very much. Can Baltimore claim him? (dumb question but I'm thinking hard)

A true darkhorse: Hampton Roads, VA. Missy Elliott, The Clipse, Pharrell and the Neptunes, Timbaland, just to name a few. Way more deserving than Baltimore, Baton Rouge, and Jackson, MS.
