Chicago invented the modern skyscraper, and New York tried to reproduce it but failed. I mentioned the Chrysler Building because its the only unique building in Manhattan. Everything else is just a large rectangle (see old WTC). You can't argue the fact that Chicago invented the skyscraper, but maybe if you throw in at least 4-5 more "lols," you can convince someone other than yourself. Good luck.

Chicago invented the skyscraper, but New York definently perfected it.

Failed? No way. Jealous much? Oh yea

Until the economic climate recovers, I doubt that any projects that have been in the pipeline for the last 2-3 years will break ground any time soon. Most will probably be cancelled or put on hold indefinitely, even after the recession is over.

yea alot of proposals in most cities are just not going to be built for at least a few more years or they will just die out and never be built....

there are a bunch in Boston that are currently stalled....

this one below though looks like it has the money and backing to break through the stagnation....it's not directly in the cbd so it will be a bit isolated...
