Agreed. They're expecting hundreds of thousands of people to be lining the streets for a celebratory parade too. Why does Philadelphia get so little respect on this forum while overgrown suburbs like Phoenix turn everyone on so much?

Yes. Everyone loves Phoenix. Nobody ever talks about Philly. I don't understand it!

Well, I think Philly is a nice town. I think Pittsburgh is as well. I haven't been to Scranton, though, so...

Philly is an under discussed city in this thread. I happen to love the sixers and always have. Still a Suns fan. Sounds like Philly needs to recruit more city forum members. I only believe Phoenix gets so many posts is that there are a lot of us Phoenicians in the city forum.

By the way Phoenix only has two votes in the Poll here, I was one, dont know the other.

Philly is hugely underrated in every aspect on this forum.

That being said, Boston destroys this poll.

Usually its PHX that comes in dead-last place in most polls. I think its safe to say that most people dislike Phoenix.

Anyways, the 3 best sports cities in this country are NYC, Boston and Chicago. Philly would be close to Chicago, too.

I think in order to rate sports cities you should also look at population and percentages that attend home games. In other words, Green Bay is a bigger NFL city than NYC because as many people, maybe more, attend the home games in Green Bay as in NYC. I believe St. Louis consistantly has 3 mil+ yearly attendance at baseball games as does LA or some other markets much larger than STL.

But...my vote goes to Boston.
