I live in the Midwest.
West: Seattle is way too gloomy weather wise, San Francisco is too expensive but the Bay Area really intrigue's me, so probably Oakland.
Northeast: New York, although I despise the Yankees .
South: If i'm going to have to live in this heat, I might as well live close to the ocean, and I really liked Broward County when my family drove through it on the way back to my grandma's condo after visiting Everglades.
