How would you describe the Florida Panhandle in comparison to Biloxi or Mobile?

As far as what? The FL panhandle is a pretty big area, where as Mobile and Biloxi are cities. There are quite a few cities/towns in the FL panhandle.

Mobile is a pretty city, IMHO with big oak trees and beautiful old houses near downtown. It is booming right now with a new steel plant scheduled to be built. Biggest downfall is the traffic on some major roadways.

Biloxi is an AF town and has casinos. There are shipyards nearby. The main industry are the casinos. Biloxi suffered from hurricane Katrina and many places are still being rebuilt. The beaches aren't that great.

They all have great seafood!

Hope you don't mind me posting on all your Gulf coast posts...

Biloxi, due to the military base, locals are exposed to all kinds of nationalities so you have a pretty friendly area...Casinos tend to bring in lots of people from Florida to have a fun weekend or a wedding, bachelor party, etc...Beach is still iffy...

Mobile...Very low tourism, there is a cruiseship port, very deep south...Beach a little better then Biloxi...

General panhandles, best beaches lots of tourism...Of the panhandle PCB is my favorite...Seems to have something for everyone vs other panhandle locations...You have the beachfront with lots of local and chain places and then the back-side which is quieter...

As far as jobs and opportunities, I'm going to simply guess that PCB would be #1, Mobile #2, FWB #3, Pensacola #4 and Biloxi #5...Again, just a semi-educated guess

How are the casinos in Biloxi? They have hold'em poker? Comedy clubs? Or just real small-scale?

Is Panama City the best beach-like destination?

If you like to gamble and like foxwoods, you'd be happy with the casino's in MS...The most lavish is the Beau Riverage (nicknamed just the Beau)...But they have less lavish ones, just depends what you like in a casino...Unless things changed in the past year, they all have hold 'em...They're not considered small scale, however all the action is inside each individual building, no entertainment outside like vegas...It's more like a a bunch of self-contained foxwood casinos vs the vegas strip...It's quite a chore to casino-hop, going to casino to casino...The bigger places had comedy clubs and entertainment, you always have to buy tickets...The nightclubs/bars within the Beau were always a great time if you're mid-30s or younger...Remember it was said in Oceans 12, "Mississippi was where games go to die"...Not sure the truth behind that. I was only there post-Katrina and heard the casinos all renovated to increase tourism...

Depends on what the "best" is...PCB is named "the worlds most beautiful beaches" I agree...I mainly like it because it has the most to do vs the other areas you mentioned...Simply state what the best means to you and we can better steer you a location that best fits your expectations...

Are those the TUNICA casinos or the BILOXI ones?

I did visit Tunica years ago, and recall those types of casinos...the ones you drive to each one.

Those are Biloxi ones.

It really depends on what you are looking for in a new place. Biloxi is less than an hour from Mobile depending on where you live. There is a casino in Atmore which is in AL on an indian reservation.

Each place has it good and bad points. What else is important to you?

Default atmore casino

It should be noted that the casino in Atmore is slot / bingo machines only.
