I prefer the Sierra Nevadas but I love the Rockies as well. Places like Yosemite includes Sequioas and Redwoods....just freaking incredible!

The Rockies are better, yes people say sierras are bigger but only on mt. Whitney which isnt much higher than the rockies other than a few ft. you have alot that size in the rockies. Sierras only have a couple big mts. Where rockies have a bunch in every state but NM, almost that size, plus how the rockies look in colorado. Plus yellowstone and the tetons, natl glacier park. And then in canada the sierras cant top that not to mention all the beautiful hot springs. And the reason the sierras look taller cuz in the rockies, when your in the valleys your still 5k to 6k ft. In the air unlike most areas at sea level next to the sierras. They dont call Montana big sky country for no reason. And as for diversity i say rockies, cuz you got mtns in NM where its dry to the rockies in the north that are always snow capped, plus that one dude said sierras have more wildlife, which is wrong again. All the big game animals that alaska has you also have in the rockies, even the small game like sierra has. As for steepness again the rockies are just as steep in CO,WY and MT. Just like watching moose and elk and other beautiful animals, grizzlies, on and on etc. Either way they both have alot of species but rockies have more of them and bigger ones. Plus if you need to hide, its way easier to stay hid in the rockies, where do you think the mountain men went. Plus its more frigid inland then towards the CA coast, so snow stays longer in the rockies. Not to mention the length of the rockies from the subartic to the desert, alot of different terrains. Which gives you more of a selection of veiws. Even tho the cascades are awesome too. So that being said, the rockies win.

Agree, not jagged at all (except Maroon Bells and some the San Juans).

My vote is Sierras.

My vote is for the Sierras you get the experience of some of tallest mountains in the country, while being in close proximity to other activities that aren't just mountains..

You clearly don’t have a clue. There are so many examples of how wrong you are, but here are just a few

Gore Range near Vail:

Capitol Peak in the Elk Mountains:

Lenawee Mountain at Arapahoe Basin on the Front Range:

Longs Peak near Rocky Mountain National Park:

Crestone Needle in the Sangre de Cristo Range

El Diente Peak in the San Miguel Range

Sunlight Peak and the Needles Range
