The thread title stated "major" cities. Therefore, I am only including metro areas of three million or above.

1. Detroit
2. Tampa
3. Atlanta
4. Houston
5. Dallas

Least like to live

NYC
L.A.
Chicago
Houston
Atlanta

All of them are too damn big, have annoying weather (except for L.A.) , are extremely congested, and their suburbs are much too sprawling. We'd visit, but never live in.

All cities have pluses and minuses, but in weighing those pluses and minuses, there are too many that I wouldn't consider living in at this time.

The ones I WOULD consider living in:

Seattle
Portland
San Francisco
San Diego
Phoenix (live here)
Honolulu
Denver
Austin (lived here)
Chicago (lived here)
Tucson (lived here)
Boston
New York
DC

Iffy: Dallas (lived here), Houston, Atlanta, Miami
