Detroit is disgusting (rest of the country following suit quickly). It will be 100 in Houston and 97 in Orlando and Jacksonville for the next 3 months and I don't care about a dry heat, Phoenix is too hot. Although, unlike Florida where you are trapped, in Phoenix you can drive to the mountains.
I think you have Florida and Hawaii mixed up. Florida is connected to the mainland if you didn't know.
My 5 least desirable cities to live in
1. Atlanta- Too much hype and way overrated.
2. The I 10 corridor from Jacksonville to Houston - 8 months of heat and humidity is not for me.
3. Nashville, TN- No way that is one town I can actually say I did not like.
4. Charlotte, NC- The downtown area is 9 by 9 blocks surrounded by I -277
5.Hartford, CT- I have family there but I cannot stand that city one bit.
81 blocks of compactness is not that bad! Outside of those 81 downtown blocks the city is quite suburban, however, Charlotte is a very attractive city overall.

I couldn't agree more...Charlotte, unlike a lot of its' peers, seems to be doing more things right than wrong.
1. Little Rock, AR
2. Spartanburg, SC
3. Birmingham, AL
4. Wichita, KS
5. Oklahoma City, OK
As much as I would not want to live in Detroit, it doesn't make my bottom 5. Maybe not even bottom 10. I've never been there but I feel like there might be stuff to do and Canada isn't far. I'd rather live there than most places in the south ^^^
You have to list major cities. I don't consider these major cities except maybe Oklahoma City.
