My top 5 in terms of not wanting to live there would be:

1. Las Vegas, NV (The Strip's pretty cool, but otherwise way too f***ing hot in the summer, kinda overcrowded and dirty, and the ubiquitous slot machines get kind of annoying after a while; plus, did I mention it's in the middle of a goddamn desert?)
2. Phoenix, AZ (sadly, this place has like the coolest name of any city, but it's also too damn hot and just doesn't appeal to me; I guess I just hate deserts)
3. Houston, TX (some nice parts, but overall kinda dirty and way too humid in the already hot summer, plus some really unpleasant high-crime areas)
4. New York City, NY (I'd love to visit this metropolis, but I don't think I could ever live here; plus I'm not a huge fan of cold and snow either)
5. New Orleans, LA (yeah, enough said)

That is very personal, uncalled for and totally against the TOS if you even bothered to read it.
Too bad for you; I know johnatl IRL and I can assure you that he is erudite, witty and great company even on his worst day. I pray that you are worthy of such a friendship one day.
