Some people can deal with it, I can't. I guess being a southern boy I like warm weather year round. Call me a punk, I can take it.
I'm not going to call you that. I live in the South myself and it's the summer heat that I'm disturbed about. For some reason I get really lazy or become irritable when it gets very hot outside.
1. Los Angeles
2. Detroit
3. San Francisco/Oakland
4. New York/New Jersey/Tri State (although I enjoy visiting the family I have up there)
5. Philadelphia
Norfolk - My experience in Norfolk was bad. Everyone seemed so pessimistic and grumpy all of the time. Plus, there was barely anything to do there that I liked. Omaha - Felt so segregated when I came in there. I actually heard some people drop the "N" word at the Westroads Mall. Seriously, people need to move on. Boring, and too conservative for me. El Paso - Hot, dry, and felt like a cultureless dump. Also, HUGE sprawl. Cincinnati - Felt really dirty wherever you went. Not a lot of things to do that I like, and too conservative. Nashville - It's country music everywhere in this place. It seemed so rural.

Don't be surprised about Omaha. Omaha has some dirty history as far as racial tensions are concerned.
If you don't like El Paso, you won't like Phoenix either.
I never knew Cincinnati was that conservative. Nashville sounds believable.
How could I pick JUST 5? How about 5 I would consider living in...
Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Honolulu, Denver.
That's easier than saying where I would LEAST like to live. Pretty much any other city. Boston or LA I might give a chance to though.

I know what you're saying about the summers. Whenever a drought comes it's even worse. The only thing that can really cool you down is scarce. But I guess every region has weather that you either like or love.
Any city in the "plains" though I am not sure they are major cities...
so landlocked, so nothing around them, so flat, so boring culture. there is a reason these are called flyover states. Minneapolis also, way too cold for too long.
it is one of coldest major cities in the world... here is the list from january average temps...
My 5 least desirable cities to live in
1. Atlanta- Too much hype and way overrated.
2. The I 10 corridor from Jacksonville to Houston - 8 months of heat and humidity is not for me.
3. Nashville, TN- No way that is one town I can actually say I did not like.
4. Charlotte, NC- The downtown area is 9 by 9 blocks surrounded by I -277
5.Hartford, CT- I have family there but I cannot stand that city one bit.
