Here's Clayton, MO. An inner-ring suburb of St. Louis with a population of around 20,000.

Since Hartford's picture doesn't show any longer I'll toss a few up.
The capital building is part of our skyline and in dowtown.
Before the new science center:
What it will be after: (It's almost completed.)

By the way, this photo is from the website City of Clayton Home but the photographer was not listed.

Oh dear! What have I spawned?! I've created the worst poster-child for a "hot-linking" thread in City-Data history! I'm so sorry, mods!

More Peoria, IL
I don't have a camera, but I found these:
River City Views - a set on Flickr
The guy is sooo good he now has a job as pro photog. It's a nice representation of Peoria. Click on a picture to see the large view, discription and sometimes the camera stuff, too.
Peoria has a very pretty skyline at night from the bluffs on the East Peora side. The problem is distance. They are at least a mile apart. Its much better in person than in a photo because of distance. They eye is the best camer of all. .
Enjoy learning about Peoria.
