well I think Atlanta market is growing tremendously though and not to mention being the only city in the south with 4 H&M stores and also we have multiple offereings of the same stores like 2 bloomingdales 3 nordstroms 2 zaras 2 betsey johnson 2 stuart wietzmans etc etc so austine would have to pull alot more to compete with atlanta houston or dallas and definetly Miami
Streets of buck head
Streets of Buckhead - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia with 60 more upscale stores to be added this is supposed to be like rodeo drive in LA when totally completed

phipps Plaza
Phipps Plaza - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lenox mall
Lenox Square - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia dont forget betsey johnson

Perimeter Mall
Perimeter Mall - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I just looked at this link of new high end stores to Austin. I live in Columbus and we have had most of these stores since 2000. Now Columbus was one of the expansion markets for retail stores in the early 2000's (hence Saks and Nordstroms entering into the Columbus market) but I would assume that all of these stores are already in Atlanta and more.

Rodeo drive is in Beverly Hills. Even though only a few blocks away, you probably caused some snob to choke on their tofu and sushi by saying it is in L.A. .

Yeah you would see in the link that Neimans Marcus was here in atlanta ever since 1979 and saks came too Atlanta in 1969 bloomingdales in 2003 along with all the other luxury stores i think Austin retail is better than charlottes

Austin is such a better city than atlanta it's not even funny.

Austin = pretty, socially progressive, more cultural.

Atlanta = very conservative and sprawly cultural wasteland.

Texas boy, Atlanta is the city in a forest. Beautiful trees, beautiful hills. Atlanta's Urban/Suburban Forest has no match in the entire world! Jealous?
