I just looked at this link of new high end stores to Austin. I live in Columbus and we have had most of these stores since 2000. Now Columbus was one of the expansion markets for retail stores in the early 2000's (hence Saks and Nordstroms entering into the Columbus market) but I would assume that all of these stores are already in Atlanta and more.

Streets_of_Buckhead - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. with 60 more upscale stores to be added this is supposed to be like rodeo drive in LA when totally completed
|
Rodeo drive is in Beverly Hills. Even though only a few blocks away, you probably caused some snob to choke on their tofu and sushi by saying it is in L.A. .

Austin is such a better city than atlanta it's not even funny.
Austin = pretty, socially progressive, more cultural.
Atlanta = very conservative and sprawly cultural wasteland.

Texas boy, Atlanta is the city in a forest. Beautiful trees, beautiful hills. Atlanta's Urban/Suburban Forest has no match in the entire world! Jealous?
