I know it's an old refrain but there really is no other large city in America where an African American feels they have as much power, influence and ability to network and socialize with other upwardly mobile successful African Americans as in Atlanta. That's one reason I would pick Atlanta. I prefer the terrain and natural beauty of Atlanta as well and it's close proximity to Florida and the East Coast cities. Other than that Dallas is right there with it.

I can't think of two cities that are more alike. Tough call.

D.C. is pretty close to Atlanta in that regards with Prince Georges county and everything. But D.C. is too centered around government jobs. Which I'm not too fond of. Besides I like Atlanta's weather more.
If you are a black entrepreneur that has lived in Atlanta you probably agree with me on this? But compared to most of the rest of the United States (Houston, Dallas, Charlotte included) Atlanta is like a whole other world. You see large numbers of blacks owning and operating businesses at a level that you just don't see in most places. Not even close.
Not trying to be Malcom X or anything but while I'm used to trying to work and network with whites and hispanics it's nice to be able to wheel and deal with a lot of people of power and influence from your own background. (A privilege most white people take for granted in everyday life).

Lol. I love how you guys can't take jokes AT ALL. You must have a stroke when someone says anything remotely bad about your city.

Well, I am saying Atlanta only because I live here now, and like the green and mountain areas that surround the city. In regard to the question above, I would say neither since neither offer anything that I find exceptional.

You mean like how you're back responding defensively to someone joking about Ft Wayne?
I found Tdallas' response to be whitty and appropriate.

"I'd rather die" really isn't an answer that fits into the OP's line of questioning; but... HA HA... for the effort at humor.

BUT, he wasn't joking. He really would rather die than live in Fort Wayne. Would he have said that if I had said something else? I don't think so!
By the way, it's spelled "witty".
