NYC,SF,LA or Chicago?
Yeah, yeah, I know... There are way to many of these threads...
But this is something that I always have wanted to know, especially from you people on City-Data.
These cities are three very known and famous cities that attract a lot of tourists.
So which city is your choice for visiting or living in??
My choice is San Francisco, I love that place, there's so much to do and see...
NYC.
SF.
LA.
Chicago.

As much as I love SF, I have to choose NY since I was born and raised here. For those posters who have never seen the NY skyline: It's actually bigger than that. That's just midtown to downtown. It's almost double the size of what that picture shows.

New York City is the only city that I have been to on the list so I'm choosing that city. The next city I would choose would be Los Angeles.

Los Angeles i have much love for that city its so cool. New York is a close second for me. Who wouldn't love New York City . Chicago is kinda dumb so i don't care at all about it. Don't see whats so great about it besides its skyline which NYC completly dominates. SF cool too.

I think its more about preference and what you are willing to sacrifice in order to enjoy the aspects of these cities. For example, in Manhattan you will have to give up owning your car but you get to enjoy all of the virbrancy and culture. Some people aren't willing to give up their cars and could care less about museums and art galleries so NYC wouldn't be for them. None of these cities are better or worse than each other, just different.

Since I was born and raised in NY, I would pick that. Chicago is probably the most similar to NY of the cities on that list, but I haven't been there since I was a kid and spent my summers in Indiana. I liked SF very much. I have never been to LA, but if it's HOT I don't want to go there. I get enough hot in Florida.
