You can't put Bloomington over Clayton, MO, let alone St. Louis. Yeah Bloomington has quite a few high-rises for a suburb, but still is behind Clayton in both sheer number AND especially skyline. St. Louis isn't much different than St. Paul, but is slightly LARGER.....so give STL the nod where it deserves it, because to keep it off the list entirely is disrespectful and frankly, wrong.
No offense intended, just setting the record straight.
New 30 story tower the Moderne to be finished shortly-----and new 44 story tower proposed and advancing forward.
In combination with the relatively new towers built along the lakefront, Milwaukee skyline starting to really take a new and bold shape.
Really?! What kind of tower is the 44-story proposal? Apartment/Condo, office, mixed-use?
Would that be close to a new tallest in Milwaukee (if office)?
While I def agree it holds its own very well, I wouldn't place it above St. Louis which seems to keep getting crapped on as people only see pics of it as a backdrop to pics of the Arch rather than actual pics of it...
St. Paul aside (yes, a VERY underrated skyline and city, for that matter), St. Louis is not getting its due respect. It kind of has "Midwestern LA Syndrome", in that people expect more from a 3 million person city/metro so they give it very hush judgement. It wouldn't be this poorly regarded if the metro population were 1.5 million (like Milwaukee -- nothing wrong with ITS skyline either).
