Ok, let's not over time do a "4th best skyline", "5th best skyline", and "ultimate 154th best skyline in America" thread, ok? (the skyscraper sites are down the hall) LOL
I like density as opposed to height when grading skylines so I have SF,Philly and Seattle rated the best and my personal favorite would be SF. Houston is relatively new in the skyscraper/downtown development compared to the other cities, the future looks fantastic for Houstons downtown but I have Houston rated fairly lowly as of right now. Too much height too little density..
LA not bad but for a metro of nearly 20 million people and a city that should be the showpiece of the west coast its skyline leaves alot to be desired all things being considered.Sorry LA you should be battling with NYC and not involved in this thread, that fact alone has you at the bottom of my list.
Why does every skyline poll thread have Philadelphia misspelled? Seriously, every single thread!
I haven't voted yet. Need time to think about this one.
Don't feel bad - Tucson (Tuscon - grrr) gets it worse.
By the way, I would vote San Francisco, Seattle, then Philly I guess. L.A.'s is more recognizable than Philly's though (IMO). I'm not quite sure why Honolulu gets shut out all of the time (never gets any love). Honolulu may not have the tallest skyline, but it's dense and recognizable in my book.
