You have a point. But one city compared to several cities in the South known for their BBQs is kind of hard to match. Kind of like comparing the most urban region. The South has some decent cities but nothing compared to the urbanity of the Northeast.

Try Lockhart, Texas if you want BBQ, the whole city is dedicated to the sole purpose of being the best in BBQ, and it's already established itself as the best in Texas, of the top 3 in the US, and of the top 5 in the world.

I beg to differ, Lockhart can easily take KC out. No disrespect to KC or anything.

Let's take this into consideration:
KC is 10X larger than Lockhart, maybe that's why it's better known.
That doesn't mean it's better.
I do agree, I myself never heard of Lockhart until last summer when a friend of mine mentioned it to me, for a day trip we took there to have the BBQ. It was pretty good from what I thought, I did more research on it, turns out one of the top places in the country and the world.... Kind of shocking really, but whatever works for little Lockhart. I still doubt people from the world would fly to either KC or Lockhart just for BBQ though....
