Try looking at my other posts. Believe me or don't believe me. You can google my name and you'll see I played college ice hockey and played alllll over the place, including about 3 times a month in NJ.

Rachael, I hurt for you....stop showing your ignorance...just call it quits!! YES, they DID head over to NJ. "All Points West"...these immigrants settled in my neighborhood which is now known as Historic Downtown Jersey City. Brownstones built in the 1800's. Please, don't start talking history with me. You have a lot to learn...I suggest you spend a weekend in NJ. There are plenty of people on this board that can offer some good weekend getaway suggestions.

I spent weekends all the time over there. We'd stay in hotels on Route 1 all over the state for tournaments. I've been to that state more than any other in the country.

I was talking about staying in a destination place, like Cape May. You should spend a weekend in Cape May at a bed and breakfast with your fiance. You'll never say "Hamptons" again....I promise. Plus it's just as close (maybe a little further) as Hamptons.

You still need to brush up on your history...NJ has just as rich of a history as New York.

Also Rachael, for you, or anybody else that thinks NJ is an industrial wasteland, LOL...here's an excercise for you:

1) Go to Google Maps
2) Type in "NJ".
3) Click on satellite view, and remove the map labels
4) Look at all the green

This is a thread about North NJ, not the state.

Exactly, look at the Northern part of NJ, away from NYC...I see lots and lots of green. I'd imagine it's more green than where you are from in LI?

That's because there's mountains. LI has green areas out east where the farms are.
