yeah, carson city is pretty cool, the downtown area is nice because they built this freeway so that the main street is really nice

but i REALLY like Dover, delaware too

Yeah, I have to go with the flow and say Madison.

BUT I'll also throw out a couple more for consideration:

Olympia WA (small town but beautiful locale on south tip of Puget Sound . . . )

Albany NY (sort of a fudge . . . Albany per se is not that striking, but the surrounding Hudson Valley region is gorgeous)

St Paul MN (nice variety of everything, and right next door to Minneapolis if you want even more . . .)

Hey . . . how come nobody's mentioned Trenton NJ ?!?!?!?

Salt Lake City is one of the best capitol cities . Pheonix, the worst.

I've been to all the New England state capitols,
Trenton, NJ
Dover, DE
Baton Rouge, LA
Annapolis, MD
and Austin, TX

I'd pick Boston as my favorite capitol. Runner up would be Austin, TX.

D.C. is awesome though, as our nation's capitol.
