Well so much for no earthquakes. the whole NE corrider was just shaking, crazy. I am in Philly and could feel it pretty strong. Apparently a 5.8 in VA/DC area. Wow never felt that before, apparently felt in NYC as well.
Hope all are ok in the DC/VA area
We felt it all the way in Boston. As far as VA/DC, people I've checked with say everything is okay. Generally speaking, the more distant you are able to feel it, the less dangerous it is near the epicenter. The fact that we felt it several hundred miles away is a good thing as far as danger goes.
I'm in Silver Spring, Md. It was scary for a minute there. But everything's pretty much okay.
Well glad to hear. We shook pretty well up here and imagine even moreso in DC. Just not used to that here. Odd thing is felt like it continued to get stronger in waves. Hopefully done with that for another 100 years
Anything that fails to change is boring. Sunny is only good as a contrast to gray. But the fact is, San Diego is not sunny all the time anyway. I voted for San Diego on this, I think it's one of the most laid back, relaxing places, and I love the beach neighborhoods. But I definitely would not say that the weather is inherently superior to New York's.
Not ever community is near the coastline. There are some dicey areas just south of the city. everybody that flies in SD sees the downtown areas and expensive cities along the coast.
I beg to differ. There is no perfect weather. Not everyone likes boring sunny all the time weather. NYC has all types of weather which is amazing. Sunny, cloudy, rain, snow, hail, fog, mist, strong winds, hurricane rains, small rare tornados, etc. One day it was so wierd and interestingIt was foggy and misty with snow on the ground and the sun made the fog a beautiful yellow. Here are some pics of NYC.
Yes, but most people prefer nearly always sunny, warm weather to inches of snow and bitter cold for months on end. Plus, San Diego does get that fog and a bit cool, so the weather is not as "boring" as you think.
