New Orleans because of their culture and their art. I'm sure there's more.

What surprises me is that New Orleans has the most Northern Feel to me yet it is the Southern Most Major City of the South.

It could be because the natives sound like they're from Brooklyn, lol.

The New Orleans responses are interesting. If we're talking built environment, then I'd say yes, as New Orleans is urban in form; it experienced significant growth prior to the age of the automobile, like a lot of Northern cities did. But in terms of culture, I don't see anything Northern about it. I voted Atlanta due to the huge influx of Northern transplants there over the past several years.

New Orleans to me is an atypical Southern city. Like Texas- it has its own thing going on. It is Southern very much- but its more its own entity.

I told some Atlanta natives that their city was so nice it should be in the north. They referred to me as "Damn Yankee" the rest of the time I was there. It was just in fun. They knew I meant it as a compliment. It's just how I felt after having spent several months in a few other southern cities.
