My bad -- Myrtle Beach is in a red state -- so, that just leaves Daytona Beach.

I really think we would just let the Red States go. I mean without those undereducated hicks ruining everything we could start progressing and actually become as great as we're supposed to be.
Meanwhile the red states can go devolve into South American countries and end up going totally under and go straight on back to the middle ages like they always wanted.

No I would rather be like Britain, Canada, France, Norway, Germany and the rest of the civilized world with universal healthcare, a government that isn't run by Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson, better enviromental policies, better education systems and such.
Hmm...you mean like the soviet dictatorships that pushed for unquestioned loyalty to the party leader, lies, uber nationalism, propoganda, military industrial complexes and unstable government...I think you red states will have plenty of fun with that.
Well when the red states vote like uneducated hicks..thats what they get classified as.
Theres plenty of uneducated hicks in PA..and they get laughed at by everyone with a high school diploma.

I didn't know Rush and Pat held political office
Did you learn that in high school?
Well, if it's socialism you want, be prepared to pay for it. Btw.. why would you want to be like the UK, France or Norway? They have plenty of problems. Their systems are just as broken as ours. Only problem is, they have to pay a hell of a lot more for a system just as crappy.

North Florida would secede and become its own red state. The line would split Tampa and Orlando but Daytona would definitely go with the Northern side.
Atlanta inside the perimeter would align with South Florida.
Virginia would cede the northern suburbs to DC and be a red state again.
In fact a good number of states could let their primary urban city become independent blue city states and the rest of the state go red, a la Chicago and Illinois, St. Louis and Missouri, Detroit and Michigan, Cleveland and Ohio, Denver and Colorado.
North Carolinians would wake up and be red again.

Well, I myself live in Massachusetts, but I gotta say, it is interesting how the same guy who starts one of his posts by questioning the stereotype of the blue-staters as effete, latte-sipping tree-huggers . . .

. . . proceeds to play up the negative red-state stereotypes:
[continuation of post quoted above] "Red staters are generally less educated and poorer. Their little rifles really don't stack up to the missles in U.S government hands..and the government is in DC..which is blue."

Apparently, in the view of some on these forums, stereotyping is not always wrong. But then, as has been observed in the past, including a number of times that I've seen on these boards, there is still ONE prejudice that it's viewed as acceptable to have in America today.
Maybe Mr. Rogers would have found a way to comment on this ad nauseum degrading stereotyping of red states, conservatives, Southerners, etc., etc., etc., as toothless inbred hicks: "Kin yew say, 'sickeningly ar-ro-gant'? Sure y' kin. Ah knew y' could."
