Default State whose residents vacation out of state the least

Which state do you think it is?

It could either by California - since it's so big, and there's so much to do within it...

OR...New York, since there are a lot of NYC dwellers who think NYC is the center of the universe and there's no need to go elsewhere.

Perhaps Floridians too who think they're already in Paradise.

I know some old timers in Missouri etc rarely even leave the state, so maybe a state like that.

I think we should except Hawaii and Alaska because of sheer distance.

My vote would be Californians. The state has alot of diversity in landscape and activities. Beach, mountains, forests, deserts. I've heard in Southern Cal you can ski and surf on the same day during certain times of the year. I'm jealous.

Many South Floridians live in the South but never even visit the SOUTH!

New York State has a lot of diversity in terms of things to do. So, it's more than just NYC.

Michigan has the highest percentage of people who vacation in-state. There's so much to do here, why leave?

I'd guess Texas. Nobody loves Texas more than Texans!

I've heard people in Maine don't leave much.
I don't think it's true about Texas, considering how many Texas plates I've seen on the road outside of Texas.

There's a lot to do in Missouri. If you just wanna spend a summer relaxing on the lake, why leave the state?

Another question: does anyone know anybody who has never left the state of their birth? Apart from like young children.
