No, it's probably in Silicon valley. If the newest technology were in Seattle or the Bay area, my dad would have moved us there years ago.

Technology is overly broad, so it's odd to say there's one main locus for most new technology. Also, Silicon Valley is part of the Bay Area while Seattle (or the Puget Sound area) is definitely on the forefront of new technologies.
On the whole, the West Coast is the most progressive both socially and technologically.

Doesn't matter. You've lived there long enough to have absorbed the superior Southern culture. You can run to NYC one day, but you will never loose your lovely Southern accent and the insatiable desire to have grits with every meal.
