Interesting thread.

I find Gehry's work to be a bit redundant (read: it's all looks very similar). I think Frank Lloyd Wright is the best architect of his time and I don't think Gehry is on the same tier as him. As a result, I like the Guggenheim a bit better (I also don't think it's one of Wrights top 3 works). I don't Dislike the Disney Concert Hall, in fact, I think it's one of Gerhy's better works (along with the Guggenheim in Bilbao). In Boston, we have (IMHO) one of his lesser works, MIT's Stata Center ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stata_Center ).

It's funny that this is Disney Hall vs. the Guggenheim. When I first read the thread I assumed it was going to be the Disney Hall in LA vs. the Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain since they both look VERY similar and are designed by Frank Gehry.

Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain:

I picked the museum. Very classic look. The disney concert hall is a bit too much.

I'm gonna go with Disney Hall, almost reluctantly though. In beauty, they're even. But functionally, Gehry worked very closely with Esa Pekka Salonen, the LA Philharmonic's music director, to develop Disney Hall's architecture. The Guggenheim is a gorgeous piece of sculpture but it is functionally flawed as a museum. The curved surfaces for the artwork, the limited natural light. In fact, I kind of found the spiral kind of cloying, as a museum-going experience.

The Guggenheim gets my vote. All of Gehry's stuff looks too similar for my tastes. The Disney looks the same as the Pritzker Pavilion here in Chicago. The Guggenheim is a classic design by one of the world's greatest architects.

No offense but the Guggenheim looks like a scale model parking garage for a mall built in the 80's.
