DC has a height restriction on their buildings. And yes, Arlington (neighbor) has better skylines.

Personally i find DC's skyline more attractive than ones such as Amarillo's, for example

DC was designed using Paris as a model. It doesn't have a bad skyline, it's just not what most Americans are used to.

Rosslyn/Ballston/etc. is to DC what La Defense is to Paris.

DC doesn't have a skyline to speak of, but it has a beautiful, graceful cityscape.

Very true. Best skyline in Europe IMO.

DC also has a decent one in Arlington. It's not spectacular, but it's not the worst skyline in the country.
