Heck No, Albuquerque has 3 other high-rises just waiting to ground break.. once this econmy recovers this town will see the cranes. The tallest of all, the Residences at Pacard place it is being pushed to May of 2010 at 45 stories and over 530ft. Height wise we smash El Paso and high-rise count we also crush em'..

Albuquerque's downtown also brings more people than El Paso's.

Albuquerque's downtown has a ton of Clubs, Bars, and Restuarants. Typical Big city Nightlife. That on top of the 190,000+ commuters threw the downtown area a day.

I don't think it is more active than El Paso's. Ciduad Juarez is next door, there is 2.5 million people, plus border towns are usually busier.

Because in general the cities boomed later than cities in other parts of the country, and therefore were not as dense, and people chose to build out rather than up.

Omaha,Tulsa and Des Moines have good looking skylines and they are all smaller than ABQ,Tucson, and El Paso.

If you're gonna dog Colorado Springs' skyline, do it from up Colorado or Cascade with Pikes Peak for a backdrop. I could post a better pic from Google maps.
WOW,did you just really bring my grandmother into this? Are you 11?
I didn't purposely choose the worst one I could find,I used one that I felt incorporated the most buildings,it is not about what is in the foreground. Like I stated it is MY OPINION even with Pikes Peak which is beautiful the actual skyline of the city is short and architecturally lacking,IMO.

Ah,I see,I'm anxious to see how it turns out.You changed my mind about ABQ while the skyline is short its quite attractive especially lit up at night.

I always wondered how San Jose would have looked without the height restrictions seeing as its population is far ahead of San Francisco's, I guess we'll never know.
