Another town near Shellpile was called Bivalve, another crazy sounding name. Also I remember reading about Shellpile in the late 60s. It was rickety town by the river not too far from the South Jersey shore. People lived in ramshacle shanties and there were piles of clam and oyster shells all over the place. The folks there were pretty poor and shucked shells for a living. Since then, the shacks all have been torn down and I am not sure how much of the town if anything is still left.

Ya, there's almost nothing left. I love going to Bivalve though. Way, way, way back in the day Commercial township used to have the highest concentration of millionaires.
