If you live on a certain block that is close to a certain restaurant or club or store, wouldnt you see alot of people in those same places. Are there no waits in NYC? And I dont know about you, but me personally, I can get just as confused and maybe walking into the wrong brownstone on a typical street in NYC. What I mean is, the same way every cookiecutter looks the same, in MY eyes every brownstone looks the same. And everything in Columbia may ne cookie cutter, but there are different sunbelt sprawly cities with really artistic, DIVERSE, urban, housing areas(HOU, MIA, LA, ATL, DAL ect, ect)
of course there is waits. but is it a wait a chain restaurant that you can eat anywhere in the u.s. or is it a really good local restaurant possibly known on a national leve

Deacon J,

You can find a picture of anything to support a opinion on any subject

I can say that detroit is crime free and then post a picture of a street with little activity or of the skyline

however, everyone knows that detroit has a lot of crime.

Who are you trying to fool with those pics?

The pics looked liked the same ones that you posted of little rock

I will break down those pics for you.

The publix building was abandoned and not used until about 3 years ago
Big deal it is a old building turned into a grocery store

You posted a picture of a restaruant sign to come for BBQ. How is that unique?

I have been to Wet Willies, Bar None, Jillians and Art Bar. Those places suck and the buildgins are anywhere u.s.a.

Actually, there is not one buildging in ANY of those pics that you can not find anywhere u.s.a.

They looked like the same buildgins in little rock

I voted Los Angeles and Chicago to be two of the most bashed cities on this forum...although it seems a lot of the time it's LA forumers bashing Chicago and Chicago forumers bashing LA.

I've heard plenty of people jealous of its growth, its job market, its success, its attracting of NASA and the Texas Medical Center.

I am jealous of Houston. Sure it has a massive sprawl problem, but it also has culture, vibrant neighborhoods, diversity, attractions, nightlife for any lifestyle preference, etc. You can't say that about some place like Little Rock or Charleston, SC.

Houston isnt a bad town...very affordable, diverse employment base, no state tax...many much worse places to live. As for bashing...Detroit, Newark, Atlanta and Miami are cities I've been to that I would not want to live.

The thread isn't inviting you to bash...but I see you did anyway, and some of the very cities that are bashed the most. Way to be like everyone else!

I agree with Atlanta getting bashed. Overall, the South as a region gets little if any love.

Yes, because of the economy, the growth, the fact that a city like Houston is catching up to the leaders.

These things make some people on CD very insecure and mad (not you because you don't bash Houston)
