Match cities of your state with Texas cities
Similar to the California cities thread but this one will be more of a challenge for everyone because our cities are not as diverse. The northeast cities will probably have the hardest time finding a match. Use it as a challenge and not an opportunity to bash.

This is impossible. Texas and Michigan are so vastly different culturally that it's ridiculous to compare cities between the two.
The only comparison I can really think of is Austin = Ann Arbor, and that's only because of the college influence. Also, I've heard Texans say that Austin isn't really Texas, so it makes sense.

Yeah well that use to be true. In fact, I don't think it was true at all anyway. Austin is about as Texan as any other major city.

I agree. Michigan and Texas are very hard to match up. I did a little research to see if I could stretch a match with any other cities rather than Ann Arbor and Austin, and I just couldn't find any.

Well, I can't think of any German cities that are similar to Texas cities, but I'll match a another city.
Dallas = Atlanta
That's pretty much all I can think of.

How about Savannah and San Antonio.
Two very historical cities. Also home to two very famous forts. Savannah has Fort Jackson and San Antonio has The Alamo.

Two entirely different cities though with entirely different feels. I would say Savannah and Galveston are more similar.

Galveston never came to mind. Great observation.

LOL! Must have been the Austinites that said that.
