At least the cost of living is cheaper in the south than out west. that is the only thing it have going for them.
If I had to live in the south past Virginia I would probably go with Charlotte and thats it.

I can understand you because if I had to move north, I wouldn't move past Charlotte because no state is growing north of NC.
That's interesting! Is there any proof to this thought? From a source I read, it seems as if the south grew from 85 million in 1990 to nearly 110 million in 2006. Can't find the estimates for 2009. The north grew from 51 million to 54 million in from 1990 to 2006. Georgia and North Carolina each grew 3 million a piece in that timeframe and most people are northerners.
Numbers don't lie! You can bash the south all you want, but there are better jobs in the south. Houston, Atlanta, Dallas and Charlotte isn't growing for nothing. I would move south too if I had to pay $2000 for a run down apartment in NYC. Who wouldn't?
If 110 million people got on this board and voted who are from the south, then the south would win everytime because the North has 54 million and the West has 70 million. At the rate the south is growing, it will have more people than both regions in about 20-25 years.

I don't see what's so wrong about what they said. They're just stating their opinion. A lot of people state their opinion without saying why. I don't see the big deal.
